  लघु कथा.. अपनी जड़ें,और असली दीवाली... काफी दिनों बाद आज डॉ रवित से फोन पर बात हुई तो पुरानी बातें सब ताजा हो चली थी,कितना जल्दी वक्त उड़ गया।अभी कल की बात थी कि हम खुद बच्चे थे और आज हमारे भी बच्चे हो गए है।....और क्या चल रहा है आजकल,कब आ रहे हो घर,अब तो आना ही छोड़ दिये यार अपने शहर में तुमने,एक सांस में जमाने भर की शिकायते और प्रश्न कर डाले थे मैने भी।डॉ रवित मेरे बचपन का दोस्त है अब लखनऊ की जानी मानी यूनिवर्सिटी में प्रोफेसर हो गया है। काफी बिजी रहने लगे हो अब,आओ कभी शाम की चाय फिर से साथ पीते है।मैने ये कहा कि रवित कुछ सोच में पड़ गया। थोड़ा देर सोचने के बाद एक बोझिल सी आवाज में बोला,यार टाइम ही नही है,और फिर फैमिली और बच्चों में इतना बिजी रहता हूं कि टाइम मिलता है तो भी खाली नही रह पाते है।फिर इतनी दूर आने जाने से पहले कितना प्लानिंग करना पड़ता है। अरे तो कोई बात नही कर लो प्लानिंग,होली दीवाली पर साल में 2 बार तो आ ही जाया करो, मैने कुछ उसको मानने के अंदाज में कहा था। हाँ यार सोच तो रहा हु । रवित ने धीरे से कहा। तो फिर आ जाओ सोचो मत बस ,मैने बहुत उत्साह और उम्मीद से कही थी ये बात...
