coronavirus infection starts with Initial mild symptoms like headache, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath but  Symptoms in serious patients are -fever, chest pain, chills, rapid breathing, breathing difficulties pneumonia and kidney failure that may lead to the death of patients.

Coronavirus has spread to more than 10 countries all over the world, all the tourists are advised not to travel to Wuhan till 8 Feb by different govt officials of many countries. A total of 2744 cases reported all over the world of which 80 people have died, most of the fatality occurred in the elderly.

While 8420 suspected person is under observation, according to the research team from England 35000 person suspected to get infected from coronavirus by end of Feb 2020.
Govt of China has decided to start a 1000 bedded hospital in Beijing from 3rd Feb 2020 for the treatment of coronavirus infected patients.

How many Indians Affected so far

According to govt source total of 700 Indians lives in Wuhan most of them are students there. The first foreigner gets infected in China is an Indian Priti Maheshwari who is a teacher in a school in China. She is in serious condition and presently on the ventilator support for severe pneumonia in Shokua hospital in Shenzhen city.she is admitted there in ICU since 11 Jan 2002.
Her family has requested on social media to help them as they need one crore rupee for treatment of Priti Maheshwari, and they have collected by online crowdfunding 17 lakh till now. While a Kerala nurse found infected in Saudi Arabia.
In India, 3 people in Mumbai found suspected and 3 in puna.
one person found suspected in Jaipur, and one in Patna found suspected of corona virus infection. A total of 29000 passengers of 137 flights screened so far at a total of 19 airports in India.


ROLE OF WHO (world health organization)

WHO is planning to declare a public health emergency of international concern(PHEIC).
PHEIC is a  formal declaration by the WHO of an extraordinary event that is determined to constitute a public health risk to other states through the international spread of disease that potentially requires a coordinated international response. Under the 2005 international health regulation(IHR) states have a legal duty to respond promptly to a PHEIC.
The declaration is publicized by en emergency committee(EC) made up of international experts operating under the IHR. All the recommendations made by EC are temporary and require a three-monthly review.

Since 2009 total of five PHEIC declaration has been made by WHO.

1-2009-HINI swine flu pandemic
2-2014 -Polio declaration
3-2014-Ebola outbreak in western Africa
4-2015-2016-Zika virus epidemic
5-2019-Kivu Ebola epidemic which began in 2018

Case all over the world

USA 5 case confirmed and  16 suspected case found so far, Mexico has one suspected case, the UK has 2 suspected case, Thailand has 8 cases, Macau  has 5 cases, Hongkong has 8 cases, Australia has 5 suspected cases, Taiwan has 5 cases, Japan has 4 cases, South Korea has 4 cases, Malaysia 4 has
Cases, Singapour has 4 cases, France 3 case, Vietnam 2case, Nepal has 1case so far.
No mortality has been reported outside of China so far.
UK Govt has planned en emergency cabinet office briefing rooms (COBR) meeting at Whitehall in London to discuss the coronavirus concerns. Health officials have planned to make a vaccine until Jun 2020.
